Finding your way around the site

Menus, headings, bread-crumbing and hypertext links and so on.

Q

How can I move to a different area of the site?

A

To move to a different page of the section you are in use the left-hand menu. To move to another area of the site use the drop-down website sections menu in the top right-hand corner of the page to select the area you want. Use the tabs along the top to move to the areas that can be accessed from every page.

Q

How do I know which area of the site I am in?

A

Look at the left-hand menu for the title of the page you are in. The bread-crumbing underneath the title shows you how you got to this page. The banner colour and header at the top of the page will show you which section you are in.

Q

What is bread-crumbing?

A

Bread-crumbing is a string of page headings that appear at the top left of the screen and it shows you which pages of the site led you to the one you are in.

Q

How can I get back to the home page?

A

Click on home in the bread-crumbing or click on the Connexions portal link at the top left of the page.

Using the site map

To help you see what each section of this site contains we have put a link to the site-map at the top of every page. Clicking on this will take you to buttons for each area of the site. Click on the area you want and you will get an alphabetical list of the section and pages in this area. Clicking on a page title will take you straight to that page.

To help you find information quickly we have put search site box at the top right of every page. You can type in a word or phrase and search. Pages and documentson the site containing the words you searched on will appear in a list. Clicking on a page title or document will take you straight to it.
